Without passion, life is nothing!

Is it wrong to continue singing as a passion? Is it wrong for a singer to have another full-time job and keep singing as a passion? Is it wrong for a singer to have girlfriend/boyfriend? Many people says this is not workable as singer need to focus in order to get his fame, but to me, we have to be realistic that the industry and everybody is changing daily.

In today world, nobody can get his/her fame overnight or with a couple of good songs, this is no longer and will never happen in Asia, unless that person is super super lucky and fortunate. As for girlfriend/boyfriend relationship, so long the artiste know how to handle it well, it is nothing wrong actually, just that some artistes are too CHEE HONG until no women or men, he/she will died immediately.

As for me, I just hope to continue doing good music, even one song per year for one artiste, is also good for me, as this can keep my passion on-going as a songwriter. Well, I m not a musically trained person, I know nuts about entertainment when I first started my company. I fall several times just to understand what is entertainment industry and how can I build a better company and artiste etc. Until today, I still understand one simple theory is that nobody will keep his/her passion on-going even he/she give you 1000 promises, as promise can be empty as well.

I m simple, just keep recording and discovering new talents, as one day I will find a gem and shock everyone? Haha. This is my dream, a dream to keep my passion on-going, so just have to continue dreaming. For those that want to be artiste manager, my advise is that it is not as simple as you think, as you need to know many things, such as marketing, grooming, planning, PR communication, sourcing sponsorship and creating opportunities for your artiste.

It is not easy to get good and hardworking artistes, as many will just come to try, when they fail, either they say sorry to you or they FUCK you from behind, which is so normal in this industry. Nobody will appreciate how much you had done for them, how much investment of money and time you had lost etc. But just do it, since this is my passion. We cant stop people from badmouthing, cant stop people from scolding you, so just do it until they shut up one day.

This year, hopefully I can have one new song under the company, regardless who is the person that record it. We must keep moving, and keep growing, this is the way to survive in this cold industry. Anyway I had made a mistake 10 years back for stepping into this industry, but if you want me to stop, I believe many people will stop if they encounter and going through what I had gone through, but I will not stop for no reason, as life move on, we must move on to solve all the problem that can arise during the way.

This is my principle of work and life. Nobody can control what I want to do, even haters also cant do that to me, as this passion had already grown the roots inside me! Without passion, life is nothing!

Why Opposition Parties suffered a big losses in this GE 2015

GE 2015 is finally over and congrats to PAP for forming the new government with a good results despite all the GRCs and SMCs been challenge by the opposition parties. There are many reasons for causing the failure of the opposition parties, including The Workers' Party, and let me share with you my points and thoughts down here.

Not Ready For GE 2015
Many opposition parties didn't really do their groundwork after GE 2011, they are too confident and thought that many Singaporeans will oppose and disagree with what the PAP had done for the past four years. In fact they are wrong, totally wrong, as they never walk the ground, never really understand the residents at all. What have they done for the residents as compare to the ruling parties?

Last Minute "Candidates"
You can see that many opposition parties going around grabbing for candidates very last minute just to hope their party can contest in this GE 2015, but they forgotten to consider their "candidates" credibility and background before putting them to form a team to contest. Moreover many residents never see them before and how you expect them to vote for your team?

Too Many Social Media Angers
There are too many angry messages on the Facebook by the various opposition candidates, too many opposition supporters creating noises, and you might forget that nowadays Singaporeans are much more educated and they do not want to see Singapore having riots and unnecessary rallies etc.

Opposition Unity
This is a very wrong move that every opposition party claiming they want democracy in Singapore and transparency in the government system, but end up they are fighting over territory during their two meetings, ended up some of the opposition parties starting to fight even before the GE 2015. How will Singaporeans look at the ten opposition parties?

Vote For Change
Worst still, after the horse-trading meeting fails, five of the opposition parties stand together and come out with a new program "Vote For Change", which is a joke and stupid thing to do. What have they done for this new program? Or this is just another "event" to gain media publicity?

Opposition Veteran Effect
Some of the opposition veterans had retired, but in order to win this GE 2015, even when the veterans are sick or too old, some of the opposition party doesnt care at all, they still push them around, or bring them on stage. Do you think Singaporeans will vote because he/she is a veteran and give her sympathy vote?

Lack Of Resource
Many opposition parties claim that they do not have the resource to conduct the groundwork. But how come they have the money for deposit to participate as a candidate and how come they have so much money to print promotional materials and set-up stage rallies? If the public is willing to support them, why don't they use the money to do more groundwork for the past four years?

The Workers' Party
Why this round The Workers' Party suffered a big losses? One of the reason is because the opposition parties slap them for being proud and tyrant. The other reason is due to their Town Council account still not very clear. Lastly they didn't really do a good job in serving their residents.

Well, nevertheless everything had ended and if the opposition parties really have the heart to serve the residents and to assist the current government to improve their policy or to come out with new ideas to improve Singapore, you should start from today.

A letter from the President of National Solidarity Party (NSP) to Singaporeans

To be serious, I actually don't like this guy at all, as he ever once and more than one time look down on me, look down on my past, even without finding out the truth nor understand what type of person I can be, before passing his judgement.

Recently, seeing him being attacked by the online media and people from the public due to his past history and records, maybe I m the only one that will understand how he feel and how painful he can be to continue moving on. I hope he can pull through this round, and we shouldn't be always looking at people's past as life have to move on right?

While, maybe I m the very unique person that will help people who dislike me. To me, if I can help I will help, as I m not as bastard as what you think, but I can be damm bastard if I need to be.

Anyway, he is not a bad guy as I ever join him in his walkabout at Tampines GRC. I can see that he does care for his political party more than any of his members, but just that he at time also have no choice but to make certain decision that might not please the party members.

Well, it is not easy to run a company, and it is not easy to run a political party as many people just want power and fame. As such I can understand how Sebastian Teo feel at time. All the best to him in this GE 2015 if he is still running for the election.

Lastly, read his open letter below to all the Singaporeans, it is quite sincere and he deserved to be given a second chance.

A letter from the President of National Solidarity Party (NSP) to Singaporeans:

" In recent days, my past convictions have been used by opponents of the National Solidarity Party to try to discredit and damage my reputation and that of the Party .

I make this statement to explain the facts behind my convictions, in order that the fair-minded and gracious people of Singapore, can judge for themselves whether the criticisms levelled at me personally are fair.

I was a young man of 27 when I committed those technical breaches of the law. I had already left the job, which gave rise to the charges, for 6 years before I was charged with the offences. Initially, I was adamant in wanting to defend myself against the charges and to clear my name. In hindsight, I wish I had done that. However, I was persuaded by my bankers and lawyers to plead guilty to the charges and to pay a fine, instead of dragging out the case, which would have been very damaging for my business then according to my bankers and lawyers. I was advised by them that as mine was a "technical" breach of the law which only merited a fine , I should plead guilty , pay the fine and move on with my business and life . They advised me not to be embroiled in a lengthy court case which would cost me much time and money, and take me away from my business. As I am not knowledgeable about the law, what my bankers and lawyers advised me seemed to make sense. It was on that basis that I pleaded guilty to the 2 charges against me.

I have stood in the past 3 elections without any anyone suggesting that I was ineligible to stand as a candidate. The timing of the recent articles to discredit me, by referring to my past convictions is therefore highly suspicious and is an example of the gutter politics and negative campaigning which the Elections Department have warned candidates against in the coming General Elections . The nature of these attacks against me are not befitting of a democratic Singapore and the type of politics which Singaporeans wish to see practiced.

In the 40 years following that episode, I have work double hard than other to become a respected businessman and constantly improved myself by studying for various degrees to become lecturer of various Universities. I have been given many awards for my contribution to society and academia. Leading the National Solidarity Party as President has been one of my proudest achievements in life. We have persevered despite the many obstacles in our way, and been able to offer Singaporeans an alternative voice in politics. My life experience is no different to that of many Singaporeans who have overcome setbacks to achieve much in life. I am proud of what I have achieved in life and I ask you for your understanding in this matter."
