Welcome 2016 and Goodbye to 2015

How did you guys celebrate your countdown just now? I went for a short drink with the team, but party is not really my cup of tea, maybe I'm getting old already. Time really passed very fast, this year I'm officially 40 years old, so my objective is to stay happy, and help more people to succeed in their career, especially people who trusted me, and believe in what I'm have given to them.

Welcome to 2016 and I believe this is a good year to start many projects with my team, clients and sponsors. Do continue to lend me your support in all my projects and most important must support my artistes and personalities Elson Soh, Daniel Chin, Hayden Chen, Jacky Goh and Allan Moo, as we going to have many exciting line-ups for you.

2015, we learn a lot of things and gain experience working with other overseas management. I would say it is not easy to work with management that are messy, especially their board of directors are in a mess, with no direction within them, resulting the staffs losing confidence in the company. Good staffs leaving the company is a waste, and it seem that nobody is bothering to keep them also. Anyway this already happened in 2015 and hopefully 2016 will be a good year for my team, and hope not to engage in anymore such company again.

2016, with a good branding consultant Charlene Eng on board, plus a solid management team, I believe we will fly very high and far. With all the experience and knowledge that I have gained from the past 10 years, it is time for me to put all the eggs in the same basket, as no risk no gain. We look forward to continue our marketing and event services with existing clients, and at the same time, hoping to work with new clients as well.

This year, Royal Entertainment will also be releasing EP albums and Singles for current artistes and new artistes that we might signed along the way. Our other companies will also be expanding its networks and services, so as to provide a better branding exposure, more marketing platforms and good sales returns for every of our clients.

Do stay tuned for more updates at my blog or my Facebook (if you are my added friends), and before I go to bed, I hereby wish every of you a Happy New Year and may you be blessed with lot of good lucks, good health and good returns of whatever you are doing.

Without action, all you have is a missed opportunity.

People like to say they got lucky. And sometimes, what happened was simply that, blind luck. In my experience, more often than not, it is something much more than that.

Preparation in anticipation of something happening is a big part of being lucky. If you are ready for something to happen, you know what to do the moment it shows up, right?

Similarly, we rarely know when something great is going to happen. But when it does, we can act. If opportunity doesn’t show up, we have potential, but when the opportunity presents itself, we have to be ready to act.

Why is action important? Someone prepares for a long time, and then opportunity arrives, but they stand transfixed, and take no action. Has that ever happened to you? Opportunity knocks, and you are prepared, but you are afraid to act, or hesitate just a little too much?

Action is the part missing from this quote. Opportunity and preparation without action is like standing on the dock next to you ship, as it prepares to sail away. To me, that is not a pleasant thought. I’ve let it happen to me too many times. How about you, have you let your ship sail without you?

Action is what you get when you avail yourself to the opportunity and do something. Action is where you use all the actions and all the things that you have prepared, in anticipation of the chance. Together, preparation and opportunity, with action, yield luck.

Without action, all you have is a missed opportunity. Is action starting to sound a little more important? All the preparation in the world is useless if you fail to act. Having opportunities galore is useless if you fail to act. Taking action is that important.

What is branding all about?

If you spend any time in marketing circles or reading about marketing, you will bump into the word “branding”. Branding is one of those concepts that is a bit vague, at least for the non-marketer small business owner. So today we’re going to look at “what is branding” from the small business perspective.

We’re also going to tackle the question of whether branding should matter to small businesses — or whether it’s something only large corporations should or can afford to care about.

What is Branding?

There are thousands of definitions of “branding” or just plain old “brand.” One of the best definitions of brand I’ve seen is from the Samsung. To them, a brand is “what sticks in your mind associated with a product, service, or organization — whether or not, at that particular moment, you bought or did not buy.”

That seems a good informal way to describe a company’s brand. Under that definition, many things can contribute to a brand.

Does a picture pop into your mind about a company, such as its logo or colors?  Think about the logo, such as Coca Cola — recognizable the world over, executed in its distinctive curvy script in white against red. And when you see it, do you imagine the effervescence of a Coke, the dark color or how it tastes?  All of those things may run fleetingly through your mind when you want something to drink.

Sometimes it’s not the logo but another visual that comes to mind — even packaging. For instance, I couldn’t tell you what the Tiffany logo looks like, but the instant I see the iconic Tiffany blue box, I know which company we’re talking about. Certain attributes immediately come to mind, such as high quality jewelry and luxury home goods — things no one actually needs, but so many desire.

Or perhaps it is the company’s approach to customizing its product. Mention the name Starbucks and immediately coffee comes to mind. Now, I don’t even like Starbucks coffee (too strong and burnt tasting to me) but when traveling I will always look for a Starbucks.  I know I can expect a certain level of quality. The coffee will be fresh — not a stale witches brew.

But it’s more than coffee I think of — it’s that I can get it the way I want it.  No matter where I am, Starbucks will have hot, steamed low-fat milk to cut the strength. I can ask for a Cafe Misto (the Starbucks name for cafe au lait) made half with steamed milk, and half with brewed coffee. And I will get it — even though it’s not on the menu.  Why? Because Starbucks aims to give you coffee gussied up the way you want it.

So when you ask the question “what is branding” — it is something that triggers associations in our minds.  Branding is about creating an identity. It’s what sets one company apart from another. In short, it tells us what we can expect from that company.  It’s about the perception people have of the company.

Branding (a verb) is doing those activities and communications, large and small, that create and reinforce a brand, i.e., what a company is known for.

Your branding (a noun) is all the elements that make up a brand, whether logo, packaging, colors, reputation for customer service, reputation for customizing customer orders without complaint, speed, self-serve options, low price, high quality — whatever.

Bootlicking is annoying and Bootlickers are inefficient

These crazy lickspittles are pretty annoying and they are everywhere. Unfortunately, they are the ones who come up faster than an efficient developer to an extent. But once they reach that extent, they cannot go any further from that unless some miracles happen. Inefficiency cannot be hidden or morphed for a long time – it would expose itself and manifest in several forms. One such form is bootlicking.

How to spot a bootlicker

He would act as if he is a brainless sheep and would proudly be a “yes man” to his boss. He believes bootlicking can get him to the top as he knows he would not be able to sustain due to his lack of skill. He would expect the same bootlicking behavior from his sub-ordinates towards him or his boss. He cares nothing for the quality of the product but would singularly focus on his career alone. He would take all the credits for all the work that the team does.

There would be no sense of real ownership in him. The sense of ownership and dedication according to these inefficient managers is to stay up late in the night at the workplace thereby pretending to people that they are hard working whether or not you have real work to do. They would have scanty respect to technology or code. They are first class actors who would act as if they are interested in technology and architecture. They strive to gain a name without contributing for it. Their interest and the effort stops when they get what they want – just the name. They think they are adept at sales and marketing but deep inside they know that they would suck at that.

Inefficient Managers – A horrific trend

Only a good soldier can be a good captain. Unfortunately in many organizations the manager would have been the incompetent developer who has sucked credits due to others. This leech of a person has moved up in his career through such unethical means. How do you expect such a person to be ethical in conduct ? How can you expect such a person to reward a competent developer ? How can such a leech even think about technology or be loyal to the product ? His principle of project management would be based on lies and deception.

To his boss, he would efficiently lie about the “amazing competitiveness” of a totally incompetent developer while he will make attempts to eclipse the credits or visibility due to a highly competent developer. He would speak as though coding is unimportant and would focus more on mere gimmickry, process / methodologies or other such escape points. He would negate the product support calls and would fight to prove that a reported bug is invalid rather than fixing the problem on priority. This sort of an incompetent manager would stress more on ass-on-seat time rather than the quality of the work. He would tend to reward those who personally surrender to him or pay heed to whatever nonsense he puts forth. Being a sheep himself, he expects everyone in the team to become a sheep. And this would kill creativity and the interest of any able developer.

These managers feel that keeping quite and maintaining absolute silence is the best way to negotiate. They are silent even when asked about a problem, a risk or a due date. They cannot think on their own and require the help of a star resource to tell them all that and guess what – this star resource would later be hammered and nailed to an extent that his future in that organization would not be so interesting. The incompetent manager would strive so hard to establish the myth that the future of all other able performers are under his discretion. Also, these managers would expect their subordinates to bootlick.

Inefficiency leads to bootlicking

A star performer would focus on making his work speak. He would not pretend as if he knows and would be happy to accept when he does not know a thing or two. He would hate bootlicking and would get pissed off at pretense. These are some of the signs of an efficient developer. The bootlicker would be the opposite. There would be no sense of loyalty on the product. There would be no sense of ownership either. He would believe that bootlicking is the only way for salvation and would adhere to all the crap that the organization imposes. Well, the culture of the organization has to be followed – there is no compromise. But bootlicking is not a part of the culture in any organization. Also not suggesting changes to the existing culture is a sin by itself.

The inefficient developer would not venture to speak out before an efficient developer for the fear of being negated. Obviously inefficiency has to be negated but that is something only an efficient manager can deal with. Inefficiency and fear to take responsibility are the two things that contributes to bootlicking. A bootlicker is not an asset to the organization. He is a dreaded liability and should be evicted from the organization. Generally inefficient bootlicker would tend to find escape points to avoid from work. And these escape points are not plugged by an inefficient manager. These people can switch loyalties once their boss goes out of power. They would not have a sense of belonging and would plague the entire team.

If you run a company or if you are a person who can decide on behalf of the company, get rid of these bootlickers at once. They are self centered criminals who do not have any basic ethics towards their work. They while away their time in an organization bootlicking their boss and pretending as if they are busy analyzing or “innovating”. There would be no outcome from these people whatsoever. Even if it is there it would be minuscule but they would expect a huge credit for a tiny contribution. Such elements are a cancer and should be eradicated at once. An organization should further take steps in preventing such cancer from recurring.

Without passion, life is nothing!

Is it wrong to continue singing as a passion? Is it wrong for a singer to have another full-time job and keep singing as a passion? Is it wrong for a singer to have girlfriend/boyfriend? Many people says this is not workable as singer need to focus in order to get his fame, but to me, we have to be realistic that the industry and everybody is changing daily.

In today world, nobody can get his/her fame overnight or with a couple of good songs, this is no longer and will never happen in Asia, unless that person is super super lucky and fortunate. As for girlfriend/boyfriend relationship, so long the artiste know how to handle it well, it is nothing wrong actually, just that some artistes are too CHEE HONG until no women or men, he/she will died immediately.

As for me, I just hope to continue doing good music, even one song per year for one artiste, is also good for me, as this can keep my passion on-going as a songwriter. Well, I m not a musically trained person, I know nuts about entertainment when I first started my company. I fall several times just to understand what is entertainment industry and how can I build a better company and artiste etc. Until today, I still understand one simple theory is that nobody will keep his/her passion on-going even he/she give you 1000 promises, as promise can be empty as well.

I m simple, just keep recording and discovering new talents, as one day I will find a gem and shock everyone? Haha. This is my dream, a dream to keep my passion on-going, so just have to continue dreaming. For those that want to be artiste manager, my advise is that it is not as simple as you think, as you need to know many things, such as marketing, grooming, planning, PR communication, sourcing sponsorship and creating opportunities for your artiste.

It is not easy to get good and hardworking artistes, as many will just come to try, when they fail, either they say sorry to you or they FUCK you from behind, which is so normal in this industry. Nobody will appreciate how much you had done for them, how much investment of money and time you had lost etc. But just do it, since this is my passion. We cant stop people from badmouthing, cant stop people from scolding you, so just do it until they shut up one day.

This year, hopefully I can have one new song under the company, regardless who is the person that record it. We must keep moving, and keep growing, this is the way to survive in this cold industry. Anyway I had made a mistake 10 years back for stepping into this industry, but if you want me to stop, I believe many people will stop if they encounter and going through what I had gone through, but I will not stop for no reason, as life move on, we must move on to solve all the problem that can arise during the way.

This is my principle of work and life. Nobody can control what I want to do, even haters also cant do that to me, as this passion had already grown the roots inside me! Without passion, life is nothing!

Why Opposition Parties suffered a big losses in this GE 2015

GE 2015 is finally over and congrats to PAP for forming the new government with a good results despite all the GRCs and SMCs been challenge by the opposition parties. There are many reasons for causing the failure of the opposition parties, including The Workers' Party, and let me share with you my points and thoughts down here.

Not Ready For GE 2015
Many opposition parties didn't really do their groundwork after GE 2011, they are too confident and thought that many Singaporeans will oppose and disagree with what the PAP had done for the past four years. In fact they are wrong, totally wrong, as they never walk the ground, never really understand the residents at all. What have they done for the residents as compare to the ruling parties?

Last Minute "Candidates"
You can see that many opposition parties going around grabbing for candidates very last minute just to hope their party can contest in this GE 2015, but they forgotten to consider their "candidates" credibility and background before putting them to form a team to contest. Moreover many residents never see them before and how you expect them to vote for your team?

Too Many Social Media Angers
There are too many angry messages on the Facebook by the various opposition candidates, too many opposition supporters creating noises, and you might forget that nowadays Singaporeans are much more educated and they do not want to see Singapore having riots and unnecessary rallies etc.

Opposition Unity
This is a very wrong move that every opposition party claiming they want democracy in Singapore and transparency in the government system, but end up they are fighting over territory during their two meetings, ended up some of the opposition parties starting to fight even before the GE 2015. How will Singaporeans look at the ten opposition parties?

Vote For Change
Worst still, after the horse-trading meeting fails, five of the opposition parties stand together and come out with a new program "Vote For Change", which is a joke and stupid thing to do. What have they done for this new program? Or this is just another "event" to gain media publicity?

Opposition Veteran Effect
Some of the opposition veterans had retired, but in order to win this GE 2015, even when the veterans are sick or too old, some of the opposition party doesnt care at all, they still push them around, or bring them on stage. Do you think Singaporeans will vote because he/she is a veteran and give her sympathy vote?

Lack Of Resource
Many opposition parties claim that they do not have the resource to conduct the groundwork. But how come they have the money for deposit to participate as a candidate and how come they have so much money to print promotional materials and set-up stage rallies? If the public is willing to support them, why don't they use the money to do more groundwork for the past four years?

The Workers' Party
Why this round The Workers' Party suffered a big losses? One of the reason is because the opposition parties slap them for being proud and tyrant. The other reason is due to their Town Council account still not very clear. Lastly they didn't really do a good job in serving their residents.

Well, nevertheless everything had ended and if the opposition parties really have the heart to serve the residents and to assist the current government to improve their policy or to come out with new ideas to improve Singapore, you should start from today.

A letter from the President of National Solidarity Party (NSP) to Singaporeans

To be serious, I actually don't like this guy at all, as he ever once and more than one time look down on me, look down on my past, even without finding out the truth nor understand what type of person I can be, before passing his judgement.

Recently, seeing him being attacked by the online media and people from the public due to his past history and records, maybe I m the only one that will understand how he feel and how painful he can be to continue moving on. I hope he can pull through this round, and we shouldn't be always looking at people's past as life have to move on right?

While, maybe I m the very unique person that will help people who dislike me. To me, if I can help I will help, as I m not as bastard as what you think, but I can be damm bastard if I need to be.

Anyway, he is not a bad guy as I ever join him in his walkabout at Tampines GRC. I can see that he does care for his political party more than any of his members, but just that he at time also have no choice but to make certain decision that might not please the party members.

Well, it is not easy to run a company, and it is not easy to run a political party as many people just want power and fame. As such I can understand how Sebastian Teo feel at time. All the best to him in this GE 2015 if he is still running for the election.

Lastly, read his open letter below to all the Singaporeans, it is quite sincere and he deserved to be given a second chance.

___________________________________________________________

A letter from the President of National Solidarity Party (NSP) to Singaporeans:

" In recent days, my past convictions have been used by opponents of the National Solidarity Party to try to discredit and damage my reputation and that of the Party .

I make this statement to explain the facts behind my convictions, in order that the fair-minded and gracious people of Singapore, can judge for themselves whether the criticisms levelled at me personally are fair.

I was a young man of 27 when I committed those technical breaches of the law. I had already left the job, which gave rise to the charges, for 6 years before I was charged with the offences. Initially, I was adamant in wanting to defend myself against the charges and to clear my name. In hindsight, I wish I had done that. However, I was persuaded by my bankers and lawyers to plead guilty to the charges and to pay a fine, instead of dragging out the case, which would have been very damaging for my business then according to my bankers and lawyers. I was advised by them that as mine was a "technical" breach of the law which only merited a fine , I should plead guilty , pay the fine and move on with my business and life . They advised me not to be embroiled in a lengthy court case which would cost me much time and money, and take me away from my business. As I am not knowledgeable about the law, what my bankers and lawyers advised me seemed to make sense. It was on that basis that I pleaded guilty to the 2 charges against me.

I have stood in the past 3 elections without any anyone suggesting that I was ineligible to stand as a candidate. The timing of the recent articles to discredit me, by referring to my past convictions is therefore highly suspicious and is an example of the gutter politics and negative campaigning which the Elections Department have warned candidates against in the coming General Elections . The nature of these attacks against me are not befitting of a democratic Singapore and the type of politics which Singaporeans wish to see practiced.

In the 40 years following that episode, I have work double hard than other to become a respected businessman and constantly improved myself by studying for various degrees to become lecturer of various Universities. I have been given many awards for my contribution to society and academia. Leading the National Solidarity Party as President has been one of my proudest achievements in life. We have persevered despite the many obstacles in our way, and been able to offer Singaporeans an alternative voice in politics. My life experience is no different to that of many Singaporeans who have overcome setbacks to achieve much in life. I am proud of what I have achieved in life and I ask you for your understanding in this matter."

NSP is in a mess?

Look at what the trolls had done! They had successfully created a mess in NSP, and looking at this situation, the party is seem falling apart by itself now. Many people are concern whether they should vote for NSP in this upcoming GE and my answer is YES, provided NSP can restructure and re-brand their party, and with a plan to fight in this upcoming GE.

News from The New Paper: NSP acting secretary-general Hazel Poa, 44, announced her decision to quit. She said the decision to run Mr Chia in MacPherson was one she "strongly disagreed with" and "one I could not implement". She also said she would be taking herself out of the running in the coming General Election. This is the second time Ms Poa has resigned from the NSP.

News from The Straits Times: "The Trolls have won," he wrote in a Facebook post put up at around 1am. "With this notice I am announcing that I will not be standing for this coming #GE2015 and will not be contesting in #MacPhersonSMC anymore." He added: "It is with anguish and deep sadness that my lifelong ambition to be the people's spokesman in Parliament ends today." Mr Steve Chia, a former Non-Constituency MP, included a link to a website that purports to present a profile of him, and includes details about a nude photo scandal he was embroiled in in 2003.

Well, everyone had a past, I also had a past, but the trolls and your haters will usually twist and turn their words, into making people believe that many of their so called "sharing" are true, which in fact many of the facts are not true at all. I understand how each of the member in NSP feel after seeing so many bad news recently. But what are the immediate action taken so far?

Few months ago, I offered to lend a helping hand to NSP, but end up the opposition is "pushing" me to the MIW instead. They felt that I have a motive in helping NSP, they mind my past even when I m so open about my past and to the extend showing them my supports that I had gained all these years. I personally felt that NSP should have a open heart and be more compassion to people like me if you are seriously in helping people.

I met Steve Chia last week, and this is my first time sitting down listening to his conversation with Mr Tan Lam Siong. I read his book and I also tell him that I m impressed with his ideology and theory on politics. He is a nice chap, despite that he had a past, but why is the troll digging up his past and talk again? Why cant you guys move on and give your support to good candidate like Steve Chia? Idiot right?

If you ask me 3 cornered fight at MacPherson SMC whether is a right choice for Steve Chia, my answer is YES and why not! Do not post me question on "Have he walk the ground?", "Do he understand what the residents need?", as to me, even the PAP candidates also new to more of the area also. Worst still, some of the PAP candidates can claim they had walk the ground for many years, but how come many of the particular estate residents still dunno him/her? He/she walk the ground, is it referring to ground floor once in awhile?

As for Hazel Poa, no comment as I do not know her personally. But based on media reports, I wont support a candidate like her despite she can be a scholar or what. She do not have the type of personal touch and I doubt she really have the heart to serve the residents. Look at how often she walk the ground, what had she give or do for the people? Writing paper alone is never enough. Maybe I m wrong about her? But since she will not contest in this election, I wish her all the best to her health.

Next will be Kevryn Lim, getting "atacked" by the trolls for no reason. First of all, she haven't even being given a chance to stand on rally stage, how you know she cant talk? And her past as a model, is it wrong? Her current dressing, is it wrong? Putting on makeup, is it wrong? If that is wrong, why some "old" female MPs and NCMP go for facial and even plastic surgery? This is about their personal image, and I hope everyone can give her a chance at least! A chance to speak up for Singaporeans.

Lastly, there are people sending me link about the President of NSP Sebastian Teo, a person that I dun really understand as he can be weird in his thought at time. I dun really like his attitude but sometime I does pity him especially when I saw him walking with painful legs. I know many internal politics within NSP, and usually he will take all the blame, even it is not cause by him. Well, you must be surprise why I m speaking up for him, not becos he pay me for that, but becos I felt that overall he is still kind in heart.

NSP is in a mess, partially becos of the trolls, but the other reason is due to some of their members who always want to be the next "President" and "Secretary-General" etc. Instead of thinking how to fight in this upcoming GE, they are thinking of how to remove their President from the seat. One of the reason why Mr Tan Lam Siong left the party is becos of too much internal fights, too many people with personal agenda and motive.

To Sebastian Teo: Despite I do not like you for some of the things that you had say, but nevertheless after hearing and seeing so much in your party, I do hope you can stand strong as the President and lead your team for a good fight in this upcoming GE. All the best to you and NSP.

“Opposition Unity"到底去了哪里?

Today I wrote this message in the Facebook, and I think many opposition parties and their members will hate me like FUCK! Well, you think I will bother about them, talking bad about me by just getting me to shut up? Haha, you think this work on me? You can try actually, as I m a black coffee, black until I can never be in milk colour anymore. Hope you wont turn black becos you go into political war with me. War? This is something that keep me on-going daily!

This coming GE, Singapore need a third voice to represent us in Parliament. The first voice is the "ruling party" People's Action Party, and the second voice is the "Opposition party" Workers' Party, Singapore Democratic Party (maybe Singapore Democratic Alliance and People's Power Party if they are lucky enough), lastly the third voice will be the "Independent".

Other opposition parties that will be involved in this coming GE, I sincerely hope and hope that Singaporeans please open your EYE and EAR to see and listen to them before you make your decision. Do not make angry decision just becos you want the opposition to get into Parliament as you will regret for at least 4 to 5 years until next GE.

I can openly and dare to say that I support good PAP candidates, good Opposition candidates and Independent candidates, as I hope to see our Parliament becoming first world parliament and not a circus. Till date, I think some of the MPs from Workers' Party had perform quite well in the Parliament and looking at the rest of the opposition candidates, I doubt most of them can do so if we vote them into the Parliament.

This GE, we must vote wisely and I believe there will be more independent candidates standing up to voice their thought and intention to contest. We should support them equally and not looking down on them. Just like I always ask people a question: "What is the difference between a sole proprietor and a PTE LTD company with one director only?"

As a marketing consultant for a couple of companies, I realized that many sole proprietors actually do well than a PTE LTD company, despite the fact that many of them only have a couple of staffs under them. At least their business grow daily, their staffs get their salary on time, and I can see them planning to expand etc.

This mean a Independent Candidate can only perform well if he/she have the ability to conceptualize and have proper time management, most important he/she must have a plan in mind. I look at many local Opposition Parties, sad to say that many of them only have three or less members left in the party, and how can we expect good candidates from them? Singaporeans are not stupid and desperate to join a "Titanic" right?

Will you join a party with so many "scandal news" candidates that can be compared to renowned celebrity Edison Chen? Will you support a party that after a GE end, they had one of the highest candidates leaving? Will you fund a party that cant even afford to pay their office rental or even employ a admin staff to look after their office? Lastly, will you able to accept internal conflicts between candidates in the same party and whereby they are waiting to swallow one another to become the President of the party?

If the party cant even educate their candidates and manage their office admin well, how can you be sure that they can manage a town council without having any issue? Lastly, the photo that I put up today are the candidates that I personally prefer and this is for your reference as they have a beautiful heart and kindness thoughts for the Singaporeans.

Uncle Ringo 50 Years of Fun Music Concert

Last week was indeed a super tiring week for me and my team. A straight three days music concert, day and night, plus meeting with potential sponsors for upcoming events, planning for artistes' song recording, and walkabouts with some of the emerging potential GE candidates.

Nevertheless everything end up well for me, no anger, no stress but just tired due to the amount of works that I had to do daily. My team seem to be so energetic throughout the whole week, maybe they are still young, which mean young is good! Thank you to Elson Soh, Jacky Goh, Allan Moo, Jeffrey Chung, and performing talents from all around Singapore.

For those that missed all our music concerts at Uncle Ringo Carnival, you can check out my company Facebook Royal Entertainment for more information. At the same time, we are currently undergoing re-branding of our company, from Royal International Group to Royal Entertainment, as we are growing and expanding into various area this year.

Coming September, we will have another show for our artistes' supporters. Guess who will be coming to Singapore? I m thinking of doing a kid related event with local shopping malls, but still brainstorming for a new concept.

How you can be MY VOICE in Parliament?

Recently as the GE is "approaching" and rumors saying the GE will be around September, many oppositions and their members starts to turn active and aggressive, including horse-trading session and "threatening" messages between the opposition parties etc. All these seem like they are playing "children games", only active when GE is here and disappear after GE finish, or I would say when they are not being "elected".

In my earlier post, I mention about many opposition members spoke to me before, and after listening to their so-called plans, I begin to think twice and many times whether it is right to go against the government for some of their policies. And after a deep consideration, I felt that a alternative voice in Parliament should assist the government to improve their current policies and to provide suggestion, and not "oppose" for the sick of opposing.

I m thinking what do Singaporeans want? A MP that can take care of your general social welfare within the estate and be your speaking voice in Parliament in regard to nation issues, or a MP that keep "opposing" whatever the government going to implement and create unnecessary noises within the social media to bring down the image of the government?

Look at the people around you daily. You think they are not happy? You think they are not content with what they have now? Yes, they might be a group of people unhappy with the current policies, but have you really look into it and think about it? Or you just simply know how to be a barking dog? Well, to be a barking dog in social media or going to Hong Lim Park to rally, why not become a guard dog and bite those that deserved to be bite, which mean fight them in Parliament instead!

I maybe supporting some of the opposition, but at the same time, I also support good PAP candidate and current MPs. What I want is to see a good nation that Mr Lee Kuan Yew had build over the past 50 years, to see Singapore prosperous for the next 50 years, and not seeing a Parliament turning into a circus.

Do you know why Singaporeans hate some of their PAP MPs? Some are due to the MP laziness and capabilities, some are due to the grassroots leaders' aggressiveness, greediness and possessiveness, which result many Singaporeans getting sick of them, and this is something I can understand, as many people once they hold power, they want more power and as such they start to "take control" and ignore the MPs.

I m saying that not because I side the PAP or the MPs, but the roots of the problem that all the current and new MPs should take note. If he/she is taking so much power and yet cant serve the residents, but for his/her own benefits of becoming a grassroots leader, I felt that the MP or the head of the grassroots should ask them to LEAVE, so as to protect both the interest of the residents and the organisation.

Next I would like to talk about the recent "news" which is Tan Lam Siong contesting in Potong Pasir SMC. Many online opposition supporters felt that he should not contest there as he never do the ground work there, which I LAUGH out loud on their naive and nonconstructive comments. YOU are not representing ALL the residents in Potong Pasir SMC and maybe YOU are not staying in Potong Pasir SMC, but you just bark and bark, just for the sick of barking.

Let me share with you my thoughts.

1. Is it true that only GE coming, then you will see oppositions stepping out to make noises and starting to do horse-trading activities? Many of them also never really walk "that" particular ground, and why are they contesting in that area? Weird right? Just becos they are some kind of "old heroes" in the past?

2. Are you representing ALL the residents in Potong Pasir SMC? If yes, why dun you step in to contest as a "potential candidate" or join either of the party that intend to contest there and help "win" back the ward?

3. "Lose by 100 plus votes in GE 2011", does it mean this coming GE will confirm the particular party to win back their seat? But let think back logically, if the candidate do have certain capabilities and really have the heart for Singaporeans, what are the chance of losing whereby actually Singaporeans want more "opposition voices and alternative voices" in the Parliament.

4. Talking about opposition unity, it seem like a kind of jokes to many supporters that support the ruling party, as I m thinking why dun all the opposition parties just join force and form into ONE party? Well, maybe the only strong opposition party know the reasons behind it.

5. If you are potential candidate and you are serious in serving the residents and Singaporeans, will you be afraid to lose your deposit or seat in the Parliament? The answer should be NO. I felt that all the Singaporeans should be given a choice to choose who is the one that can best represent them and fight for their interest.

Lastly I just want to say, be dare to fight and not avoiding three corner or multi-corner fights, and BEAR IN MIND that multi-corner fights not only dilute the votes between the two oppositions, but also affecting the ruling party candidate as well. My explanation is very simple, as what YOU always says, "Singaporeans want more strong opposition candidates to march into Parliament to be their voices".

If today you are avoiding multi-corner fights, I m just wondering how you can be MY VOICE in Parliament as it seem like you are lack of guts and courage in this upcoming GE.

VOTE for the RIGHT candidate to be your voice in the parliament

Workers' Party will contest in 28 seats in upcoming General Election (Read HERE). The 5 GRCs they will contest are Aljunied, Marine Parade, East Coast, Jalan Besar and Nee Soon, while the 5 SMCs where they will field a candidate are Hougang, Punggol East, Fengshan, MacPherson and Sengkang West.

I m worried that if WP happen to win all the 28 seats in this upcoming GE, that mean in the next GE which is 4 to 5 years later, they will go for more seats with the objective of forming the government to replace the existing People's Action Party (PAP). This year is very important and the rising of a third alternative voice seem to be a MUST now.

Singapore need a third alternative voice apart from PAP and WP, and after reading what Tan Lam Siong had wrote in his blog, I do agree with some of his points. He wrote: "The political struggle between People's Action Party (PAP) and the Workers' Party (WP) is reaching a point when a 3rd force is set to arise to serve as a counterbalance. This 3rd force is anticipated to come from the constituencies in the south. MK GRC, Potong Pasir SMC, Mountbatten SMC and Whampoa SMC are the potential springboards for the rise of the 3rd force but now only Potong Pasir SMC and Mountbatten SMC are left on the slate. It was as if someone saw the same thing that we had seen and was trying to prevent it from happening." (Read HERE).

I hope Singaporeans can lend your support to Tan Lam Siong 陈南松 in this upcoming election as an independent candidate. I believe he will contest either in Radin Mas, Macpherson or Potong Pasir for this upcoming election. Till date, he is one of the best and hardworking opposition candidate, who really have the passion to serve Singaporeans and the aim of making Singapore a better nation. He should be your VOICE in Parliament.

Why I m writing this blog? Well, I met a couple of opposition candidates and I seriously disappointed in most of them. I think they contest as a candidate, just because they want to become Member of Parliament (MP) and get the $13k salary monthly, plus maybe extra allowance as an adviser to their Town Council? Or worst still, using their "MP" status to get a "consultant" job in big companies to earn extra cash?

Why I m saying that? Simple, just look at what is their current job and salary now, look at what they had contributed to Singapore, look at what they had done for you for the past 4 years. No doubt many people say that your MP is not working hard enough, but that doesnt mean all the MP is not working. Look at MP Baey Yam Keng from Tampines GRC and MP Tin Pei Ling from Marine Parade GRC, they are full-time MP and they really work very hard to serve the residents and Singaporeans. WE cant because of a couple of mistakes made by other ministers and MPs, then we just simply "vote out" the good MPs. This is not FAIR!

The couple of opposition candidates that I met, I m tired of their nonsense and sweet talks, as they just remind me of my ex-working partners and ex-artistes who causes me to fail and fall, becoming bankruptcy and they end up casting me aside without lending me their helping hands. Not that I do not want to be kind and help the opposition candidates by introducing them to some of the sponsors to raise funds for their campaigning, but I do not want to see Singapore to become a third world country and Singaporeans to suffer even more if they "happen" to win in this coming election.

If you ask me which opposition party is good for your voting choice, I would say apart from consider the good candidates from WP, maybe YOU can also consider Singapore People’s Party (SPP) member Jeannette Chong-Aruldoss, Singapore Democratic Alliance (SDA) leader Desmond Lim and Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) Secretary-General Dr Chee Soon Juan. At least many Singaporeans and residents can see their effort and hard-work on the ground, not like those oppositions that only know how to "scold" the government and PAP online. But most important, keep the votes for the good PAP MPs and Candidates too!

After writing so much, I hope Singaporeans can also lend your helping hand to Tan Lam Siong, who want to stand in this upcoming election as an independent candidate after his "experience" with his ex-political party. To be one of his volunteers to accompany him for walkabouts in this August and to support him during the election campaigning period, do email him at happylivingsg@gmail.com with your name, age and contact number, so that he can keep you posted accordingly.

Remember to VOTE for the RIGHT candidate to be your voice in the parliament and to take care of your constituency's general welfare. All the above are my thoughts and views, if you are my haters, please promote it to any social platform and websites on what I had wrote, as your promotion and publicity is important!

A message for Joyce Stella Lee

I know there are haters following my blog and promoting me by setting up a website, trying to create damages to me. You can do anything to me, but not the people around me. I have a couple of reliable sources saying that the trouble-maker suspected to be Joyce Stella Lee and a police report will be lodge soon. Well, let the police do the investigation, as Singapore no matter what is a lawful country.

A little background on Joyce Stella Lee - I know a couple of Mediacorp supporters dislike her, as she always like to "back-stab" people from behind and pretend to be very innocent. I remember in somewhere around 2007 to 2009, I ever lodge a police report against Joyce Stella Lee at Cantonment Police Station for downloading my company demo songs without permission. Well, that is consider "stealing" right?

At that point of time, I didn't want to pursue further as I think she is just a kid or some kind of music fan that is crazy over some of my ex-artistes. And last year, I lodge a police report again when someone show me the website, but I never follow up as I felt that I should give her another chance. But today, after a couple of people telling me what she had done to my group of friends and colleagues, I decided it is time to lodge a police report and let the police do the investigation. If she is innocent she need not worry, but if she really the troublemaker behind it, then just prepare to face the outcome as Singapore is a lawful country.

I had been made bankruptcy for whatever debt that I could had own in the past, and that is my punishment. If you still continue to instigate, I at no choice but to seek for police assistance. I m doing it because no matter how much sorry and regretful that I can offer to whoever, I know clearly that YOU will never let me go, even through I did you nothing wrong.

This is a tough decision but nevertheless I have to take this step to the extend of handing over this case to the police, as I do not wish people around me get hurt for nothing, as they are totally innocent.

To Joyce Stella Lee: If you are the one that create this issue, kindly think carefully for your action. I m not worry about myself, my own safely or whatever, but please do not drag a third party who is innocent into whatever nonsense that you created.

To Mediacorp Artistes who using the services of Joyce Stella Lee: If she is innocent, I m sorry for writing such a blog and I will offered a apologise. But if she is seriously intending to cause damage to the people around me for writing untruthful things without investigating, I urge all the artistes at Mediacorp to temporary stop using her services in whatever you need her to do.

To whoever reading my blog post: If you are also a victim and ever being hurt by Joyce Stella Lee, do email me at william@rig.com.sg so that I can assist you to look into the whole issue. You may share my blog post if you want. :)

Lastly, I also left a comment for this blog that talk about me, and hopefully Joyce Stella Lee can see it. But the website say that "Your comment is awaiting moderation."

A busy week for a better tomorrow

For the past one week, it was indeed busy until I do not have much time to visit all my clients and sponsors. Busy with preparation of the proposals to see clients next week, busy with sponsors' upcoming events, busy with the revamp of all our social and digital media platforms, busy with my artistes' upcoming projects and media interviews etc. I also managed to finish a couple of events for past few weeks, and one of them is at Big Box, my artistes Elson Soh and Allan Moo's performance appearance.

If you ask me whether it is worth to stay busy or good to have less work, my answer will be depend on each individual direction and objective. My aim is to build my various partners and artistes' careers and business, hope that they can have a good future and establish a good family, plus bring happiness to friends around me, assisting my clients and sponsors in building up their business.

But at time, people might not listen to your advise as everyone have their own thoughts. So let just give and take, and if really cant work together in certain projects, just let go and continue with our own journey, no point pulling or dragging them along, whereby they might end up becoming a burden in your journey. Just focus on what you want to do and move on, you will find your success along the way and also meet some good partners and friends.

Actually there is no easy way out for any business, especially the world today. People are getting selective and smarter, and in order to succeed in any of the business and project, we just have to keep exploring and exploring, trying each of the suggestion and ideas until you see certain results that you want to achieve. But most important, you must be able to change when the time arise. Lastly, good to see my artiste Elson Soh and my disciple Jacky Goh is doing well in their career, and do keep up the good work and effort!
