How you can be MY VOICE in Parliament?

Recently as the GE is "approaching" and rumors saying the GE will be around September, many oppositions and their members starts to turn active and aggressive, including horse-trading session and "threatening" messages between the opposition parties etc. All these seem like they are playing "children games", only active when GE is here and disappear after GE finish, or I would say when they are not being "elected".

In my earlier post, I mention about many opposition members spoke to me before, and after listening to their so-called plans, I begin to think twice and many times whether it is right to go against the government for some of their policies. And after a deep consideration, I felt that a alternative voice in Parliament should assist the government to improve their current policies and to provide suggestion, and not "oppose" for the sick of opposing.

I m thinking what do Singaporeans want? A MP that can take care of your general social welfare within the estate and be your speaking voice in Parliament in regard to nation issues, or a MP that keep "opposing" whatever the government going to implement and create unnecessary noises within the social media to bring down the image of the government?

Look at the people around you daily. You think they are not happy? You think they are not content with what they have now? Yes, they might be a group of people unhappy with the current policies, but have you really look into it and think about it? Or you just simply know how to be a barking dog? Well, to be a barking dog in social media or going to Hong Lim Park to rally, why not become a guard dog and bite those that deserved to be bite, which mean fight them in Parliament instead!

I maybe supporting some of the opposition, but at the same time, I also support good PAP candidate and current MPs. What I want is to see a good nation that Mr Lee Kuan Yew had build over the past 50 years, to see Singapore prosperous for the next 50 years, and not seeing a Parliament turning into a circus.

Do you know why Singaporeans hate some of their PAP MPs? Some are due to the MP laziness and capabilities, some are due to the grassroots leaders' aggressiveness, greediness and possessiveness, which result many Singaporeans getting sick of them, and this is something I can understand, as many people once they hold power, they want more power and as such they start to "take control" and ignore the MPs.

I m saying that not because I side the PAP or the MPs, but the roots of the problem that all the current and new MPs should take note. If he/she is taking so much power and yet cant serve the residents, but for his/her own benefits of becoming a grassroots leader, I felt that the MP or the head of the grassroots should ask them to LEAVE, so as to protect both the interest of the residents and the organisation.

Next I would like to talk about the recent "news" which is Tan Lam Siong contesting in Potong Pasir SMC. Many online opposition supporters felt that he should not contest there as he never do the ground work there, which I LAUGH out loud on their naive and nonconstructive comments. YOU are not representing ALL the residents in Potong Pasir SMC and maybe YOU are not staying in Potong Pasir SMC, but you just bark and bark, just for the sick of barking.

Let me share with you my thoughts.

1. Is it true that only GE coming, then you will see oppositions stepping out to make noises and starting to do horse-trading activities? Many of them also never really walk "that" particular ground, and why are they contesting in that area? Weird right? Just becos they are some kind of "old heroes" in the past?

2. Are you representing ALL the residents in Potong Pasir SMC? If yes, why dun you step in to contest as a "potential candidate" or join either of the party that intend to contest there and help "win" back the ward?

3. "Lose by 100 plus votes in GE 2011", does it mean this coming GE will confirm the particular party to win back their seat? But let think back logically, if the candidate do have certain capabilities and really have the heart for Singaporeans, what are the chance of losing whereby actually Singaporeans want more "opposition voices and alternative voices" in the Parliament.

4. Talking about opposition unity, it seem like a kind of jokes to many supporters that support the ruling party, as I m thinking why dun all the opposition parties just join force and form into ONE party? Well, maybe the only strong opposition party know the reasons behind it.

5. If you are potential candidate and you are serious in serving the residents and Singaporeans, will you be afraid to lose your deposit or seat in the Parliament? The answer should be NO. I felt that all the Singaporeans should be given a choice to choose who is the one that can best represent them and fight for their interest.

Lastly I just want to say, be dare to fight and not avoiding three corner or multi-corner fights, and BEAR IN MIND that multi-corner fights not only dilute the votes between the two oppositions, but also affecting the ruling party candidate as well. My explanation is very simple, as what YOU always says, "Singaporeans want more strong opposition candidates to march into Parliament to be their voices".

If today you are avoiding multi-corner fights, I m just wondering how you can be MY VOICE in Parliament as it seem like you are lack of guts and courage in this upcoming GE.
