Uncle Ringo 50 Years of Fun Music Concert

Last week was indeed a super tiring week for me and my team. A straight three days music concert, day and night, plus meeting with potential sponsors for upcoming events, planning for artistes' song recording, and walkabouts with some of the emerging potential GE candidates.

Nevertheless everything end up well for me, no anger, no stress but just tired due to the amount of works that I had to do daily. My team seem to be so energetic throughout the whole week, maybe they are still young, which mean young is good! Thank you to Elson Soh, Jacky Goh, Allan Moo, Jeffrey Chung, and performing talents from all around Singapore.

For those that missed all our music concerts at Uncle Ringo Carnival, you can check out my company Facebook Royal Entertainment for more information. At the same time, we are currently undergoing re-branding of our company, from Royal International Group to Royal Entertainment, as we are growing and expanding into various area this year.

Coming September, we will have another show for our artistes' supporters. Guess who will be coming to Singapore? I m thinking of doing a kid related event with local shopping malls, but still brainstorming for a new concept.

How you can be MY VOICE in Parliament?

Recently as the GE is "approaching" and rumors saying the GE will be around September, many oppositions and their members starts to turn active and aggressive, including horse-trading session and "threatening" messages between the opposition parties etc. All these seem like they are playing "children games", only active when GE is here and disappear after GE finish, or I would say when they are not being "elected".

In my earlier post, I mention about many opposition members spoke to me before, and after listening to their so-called plans, I begin to think twice and many times whether it is right to go against the government for some of their policies. And after a deep consideration, I felt that a alternative voice in Parliament should assist the government to improve their current policies and to provide suggestion, and not "oppose" for the sick of opposing.

I m thinking what do Singaporeans want? A MP that can take care of your general social welfare within the estate and be your speaking voice in Parliament in regard to nation issues, or a MP that keep "opposing" whatever the government going to implement and create unnecessary noises within the social media to bring down the image of the government?

Look at the people around you daily. You think they are not happy? You think they are not content with what they have now? Yes, they might be a group of people unhappy with the current policies, but have you really look into it and think about it? Or you just simply know how to be a barking dog? Well, to be a barking dog in social media or going to Hong Lim Park to rally, why not become a guard dog and bite those that deserved to be bite, which mean fight them in Parliament instead!

I maybe supporting some of the opposition, but at the same time, I also support good PAP candidate and current MPs. What I want is to see a good nation that Mr Lee Kuan Yew had build over the past 50 years, to see Singapore prosperous for the next 50 years, and not seeing a Parliament turning into a circus.

Do you know why Singaporeans hate some of their PAP MPs? Some are due to the MP laziness and capabilities, some are due to the grassroots leaders' aggressiveness, greediness and possessiveness, which result many Singaporeans getting sick of them, and this is something I can understand, as many people once they hold power, they want more power and as such they start to "take control" and ignore the MPs.

I m saying that not because I side the PAP or the MPs, but the roots of the problem that all the current and new MPs should take note. If he/she is taking so much power and yet cant serve the residents, but for his/her own benefits of becoming a grassroots leader, I felt that the MP or the head of the grassroots should ask them to LEAVE, so as to protect both the interest of the residents and the organisation.

Next I would like to talk about the recent "news" which is Tan Lam Siong contesting in Potong Pasir SMC. Many online opposition supporters felt that he should not contest there as he never do the ground work there, which I LAUGH out loud on their naive and nonconstructive comments. YOU are not representing ALL the residents in Potong Pasir SMC and maybe YOU are not staying in Potong Pasir SMC, but you just bark and bark, just for the sick of barking.

Let me share with you my thoughts.

1. Is it true that only GE coming, then you will see oppositions stepping out to make noises and starting to do horse-trading activities? Many of them also never really walk "that" particular ground, and why are they contesting in that area? Weird right? Just becos they are some kind of "old heroes" in the past?

2. Are you representing ALL the residents in Potong Pasir SMC? If yes, why dun you step in to contest as a "potential candidate" or join either of the party that intend to contest there and help "win" back the ward?

3. "Lose by 100 plus votes in GE 2011", does it mean this coming GE will confirm the particular party to win back their seat? But let think back logically, if the candidate do have certain capabilities and really have the heart for Singaporeans, what are the chance of losing whereby actually Singaporeans want more "opposition voices and alternative voices" in the Parliament.

4. Talking about opposition unity, it seem like a kind of jokes to many supporters that support the ruling party, as I m thinking why dun all the opposition parties just join force and form into ONE party? Well, maybe the only strong opposition party know the reasons behind it.

5. If you are potential candidate and you are serious in serving the residents and Singaporeans, will you be afraid to lose your deposit or seat in the Parliament? The answer should be NO. I felt that all the Singaporeans should be given a choice to choose who is the one that can best represent them and fight for their interest.

Lastly I just want to say, be dare to fight and not avoiding three corner or multi-corner fights, and BEAR IN MIND that multi-corner fights not only dilute the votes between the two oppositions, but also affecting the ruling party candidate as well. My explanation is very simple, as what YOU always says, "Singaporeans want more strong opposition candidates to march into Parliament to be their voices".

If today you are avoiding multi-corner fights, I m just wondering how you can be MY VOICE in Parliament as it seem like you are lack of guts and courage in this upcoming GE.

VOTE for the RIGHT candidate to be your voice in the parliament

Workers' Party will contest in 28 seats in upcoming General Election (Read HERE). The 5 GRCs they will contest are Aljunied, Marine Parade, East Coast, Jalan Besar and Nee Soon, while the 5 SMCs where they will field a candidate are Hougang, Punggol East, Fengshan, MacPherson and Sengkang West.

I m worried that if WP happen to win all the 28 seats in this upcoming GE, that mean in the next GE which is 4 to 5 years later, they will go for more seats with the objective of forming the government to replace the existing People's Action Party (PAP). This year is very important and the rising of a third alternative voice seem to be a MUST now.

Singapore need a third alternative voice apart from PAP and WP, and after reading what Tan Lam Siong had wrote in his blog, I do agree with some of his points. He wrote: "The political struggle between People's Action Party (PAP) and the Workers' Party (WP) is reaching a point when a 3rd force is set to arise to serve as a counterbalance. This 3rd force is anticipated to come from the constituencies in the south. MK GRC, Potong Pasir SMC, Mountbatten SMC and Whampoa SMC are the potential springboards for the rise of the 3rd force but now only Potong Pasir SMC and Mountbatten SMC are left on the slate. It was as if someone saw the same thing that we had seen and was trying to prevent it from happening." (Read HERE).

I hope Singaporeans can lend your support to Tan Lam Siong 陈南松 in this upcoming election as an independent candidate. I believe he will contest either in Radin Mas, Macpherson or Potong Pasir for this upcoming election. Till date, he is one of the best and hardworking opposition candidate, who really have the passion to serve Singaporeans and the aim of making Singapore a better nation. He should be your VOICE in Parliament.

Why I m writing this blog? Well, I met a couple of opposition candidates and I seriously disappointed in most of them. I think they contest as a candidate, just because they want to become Member of Parliament (MP) and get the $13k salary monthly, plus maybe extra allowance as an adviser to their Town Council? Or worst still, using their "MP" status to get a "consultant" job in big companies to earn extra cash?

Why I m saying that? Simple, just look at what is their current job and salary now, look at what they had contributed to Singapore, look at what they had done for you for the past 4 years. No doubt many people say that your MP is not working hard enough, but that doesnt mean all the MP is not working. Look at MP Baey Yam Keng from Tampines GRC and MP Tin Pei Ling from Marine Parade GRC, they are full-time MP and they really work very hard to serve the residents and Singaporeans. WE cant because of a couple of mistakes made by other ministers and MPs, then we just simply "vote out" the good MPs. This is not FAIR!

The couple of opposition candidates that I met, I m tired of their nonsense and sweet talks, as they just remind me of my ex-working partners and ex-artistes who causes me to fail and fall, becoming bankruptcy and they end up casting me aside without lending me their helping hands. Not that I do not want to be kind and help the opposition candidates by introducing them to some of the sponsors to raise funds for their campaigning, but I do not want to see Singapore to become a third world country and Singaporeans to suffer even more if they "happen" to win in this coming election.

If you ask me which opposition party is good for your voting choice, I would say apart from consider the good candidates from WP, maybe YOU can also consider Singapore People’s Party (SPP) member Jeannette Chong-Aruldoss, Singapore Democratic Alliance (SDA) leader Desmond Lim and Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) Secretary-General Dr Chee Soon Juan. At least many Singaporeans and residents can see their effort and hard-work on the ground, not like those oppositions that only know how to "scold" the government and PAP online. But most important, keep the votes for the good PAP MPs and Candidates too!

After writing so much, I hope Singaporeans can also lend your helping hand to Tan Lam Siong, who want to stand in this upcoming election as an independent candidate after his "experience" with his ex-political party. To be one of his volunteers to accompany him for walkabouts in this August and to support him during the election campaigning period, do email him at happylivingsg@gmail.com with your name, age and contact number, so that he can keep you posted accordingly.

Remember to VOTE for the RIGHT candidate to be your voice in the parliament and to take care of your constituency's general welfare. All the above are my thoughts and views, if you are my haters, please promote it to any social platform and websites on what I had wrote, as your promotion and publicity is important!
